Tufsol Syrup  Here are the common uses of Disodium Hydrogen Citrate 1.4 gm/5 ml Syrup:

1. Treatment of Kidney Stones:

• Helps prevent the formation of new kidney stones by making urine less acidic.

   

• Dissolves existing small kidney stones.

• Reduces the risk of complications associated with kidney stones.

2. Prevention of Gout:

• Reduces the levels of uric acid in the blood, which can prevent the formation of uric acid crystals that cause gout.

• Helps prevent gout attacks and associated pain and inflammation.  

3. Treatment of Renal Tubular Acidosis:

• A kidney condition where the kidneys fail to excrete acids into the urine, leading to an acidic blood pH.  

• Disodium Hydrogen Citrate helps to alkalinize the urine and restore the blood pH balance.

4. Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs):

• Makes urine less acidic, which can inhibit the growth of bacteria that cause UTIs.  

• May be used in combination with antibiotics to treat UTIs.
